Ted Nugent lost his temper during an interview with a CBS reporter, offering to perform oral sex on the interviewer and copulate with the journalist's female producer following a heated discussion about the legendary rocker's conservative political views.
Nugent and Jeff Glor were discussing politics when the reporter suggested the rocker wasn't the political moderate he claimed to be — especially considering his recent controversial comments, including that he'd rather be "dead or in jail" if President Obama wins re-election. This prompted Nugent to begin yelling at the reporter, insisting he's a "damned nice guy" who does plenty for charity.
He raged, "If you examine how I conduct myself, I don't think a day goes by in my life for many, many years now, that we don't do charity work for children.
"I offer you this: call me when you sit down across from someone who has more families with dying little boys and girls who get a call to take them on their last fishing trip in life. Call me when you meet someone who does that more than I do! Because that's really moderate. You know what that is? That's extreme! I'm an extremely loving, passionate man and people who investigate me honestly, without the baggage of political correctness, ascertain the conclusion that I'm a damned nice guy... and if you can find a screening process more powerful than that, I'll suck your dick."
He then turned to a female producer off camera and added, "Or I'll fuck you. How's that sound?"
According to Glor, Nugent's wife told the rocker after the interview to apologize to the female producer, which Ted did. Later Nugent called Glor to say he was rushed to the emergency room after their interview to have a kidney stone removed, which, Glor says, may have contributed to Ted's anxiety.

While combing the PANTERA vaults for the 20th anniversary reissue of "Vulgar Display Of Power", drummer Vinnie Paul Abbott made an astounding discovery: "Piss", an incendiary blast of vintage PANTERA from the original recording sessions that had long been forgotten. After 20 years, "Piss" will finally make its debut this Wednesday, April 11, when the newly created video for the song will premiere at the Revolver Golden Gods awards in Los Angeles, which will be broadcast live on Xbox Live, as well as on the Xbox and Revolver Facebook pages. The video will make its worldwide premiere right before the show starts at approximately 10:55 p.m. ET / 7:55 p.m. PT. The song will then be released to radio outlets and all digital music retailers the following day. PANTERA are also the subject of a Revolver special issue, which hits newsstands everywhere on April 15.
For the "Piss" video, PANTERA put out a call through their Facebook page for fans to submit home videos of them rocking out to the band or attend a video shoot in Los Angeles. The resulting video is an amazing collection of fans of all ages, from around the world, moshing, jumping, punching, kicking, and just plain rocking out to PANTERA. The video, directed by Zach Merck, also features some amazing slow-motion shots that recreate the face punch from the iconic cover of "Vulgar Display Of Power".
"'Piss' is the only unheard complete PANTERA track in existence, "said Vinnie. "It was recorded at the same time as 'Vulgar Display Of Power' and it's 100 percent PANTERA with attitude and our signature groove! After mixing it, I can't believe it didn't make the record! So it's 2012 and 20 years later and new PANTERA music has been delivered."
Two stills from the "Piss" video can be seen below.
In anticipation of the reissue of one of the greatest metal albums of all time, PANTERA's 1992 masterpiece "Vulgar Display Of Power", Revolver magazine has created a PANTERA special issue, which includes the whole story of the band, an in-depth look at the making of "Vulgar", fallen guitarist "Dimebag" Darrell Abbott's final interview, and more.
Revolver will host a release party for the issue on April 12 at the Key Club in West Hollywood, California. Plus, cover illustrator Tim Bradstreet will be on hand to sign copies of the issue. Providing the soundtrack for the evening will be members of SLAYER, MEGADETH, ANTHRAX, ADRENALINE MOB, and some very special guests, who will all be putting on the "Metal Masters 3" clinic for musicians, presented by Samson, Zoom, and Hartke.
February 25 marked the 20-year anniversary for PANTERA's "Vulgar Display Of Power", a landmark album widely acknowledged as one of metal's most enduring and influential masterworks. Recorded by singer Philip Anselmo, guitarist "Dimebag" Darrell Abbott, bassist Rex Brown and drummer Vinnie Paul Abbott, the album has been certified double platinum by the RIAA and features several of the group's most iconic songs including "Walk", "Mouth For War", "This Love" and "Fucking Hostile".
To celebrate, Rhino channels the album's relentless blitzkrieg of musical aggression onto a two-disc Deluxe Edition. The CD includes the original album remastered and "Piss", a recently discovered unreleased track from the recording sessions. The DVD contains an unreleased live performance filmed in Italy in September of 1992 plus the three official music videos from the album.
Due out May 15, 2012 from Rhino, the CD/DVD set will be available at retail outlets, including Pantera.com and Rhino.com, for a suggested list price of $19.98. A version of the release will also be available digitally.
Along with the unreleased song, "Vulgar Display Of Power (Deluxe Edition)" also features unreleased video of the quartet performing six songs at the Monsters Of Rock show in Reggio Emilia, Italy on September 12, 1992. The set list draws almost exclusively from "Vulgar" ("This Love", "Rise", "Mouth For War"), but also includes the title track from their previous album, "Cowboys From Hell", and a melding of "Vulgar"'s "Hollow" and "Cowboys"' "Domination", which was a live staple of the band. Video of PANTERA performing live during this era is extremely rare, making the DVD one of the few ways to see them in their prime.

(From the official webpage) Retrogression was formed 2002 in Finland. We chased after our own sound on four demo tapes and couple of line changes.
After writing two albums for a band called Snipe Drive Antti (Vocals & Guitar) started to think about something completely different. Something that is opposite to Snipe Drive´s alternative rock. Something that represents Antti´s point of view of present society. Society where time and money is everything. Without sex you can´t sell and without being selfish you can´t survive. In a place where youth is force-fed with wrong role-models and sex by media.
Antti (Vocals & Guitar)
Retrogression, a progressive metal band from Finland, is lot different from what has been coming out of Northern Europe, When I opened their website pagehttp://www.snipedrive.net/retrogression_promosite/, I was expecting to hear a Children of Bodom cover/copy band. Nope, What I listened to was quite different. To be honest with you I dont know what to think of this band other than fucking awsomely, refreshenly different from the norm in the metal industry as a whole. These guys seem to not wanna be beholding to a certain type of metal, and I love that. My favorite track from the their demo was "Cynical". This song proves what I described above. I wasn't bored with this group like I so often am. Now on that note, with all the garbage floating around, this band may get lumped in with it because the attention span of most listeners today and this band here, although in my opinion is worth listening to, may not fit with todays screamo, uberfast blast beated, djent type everyone seems to think is great. With this band you kinda get the best of both worlds. progressive vocals and tight guitar riffage with a relaxation of Tipi (on drums) not all over the place on his set. I listened to this band before I wrote this review and found myself listening to it as I write this review, and because the music is easy to listen to I didn't have to pause to get a train of thought. The guys in Retrogression did a great job with the production of this demo. If you're looking for something different from the norm but different in a good way, This band is it. The website as I see it is still in the building stage, there is not a lot to learn about this band on the site but I'm sure somethings is coming soon and I'll be looking for it.

Usually, band reunions tend to turn out to be futile attempts at resurrecting a rotting carcass that is better left dead for good… Yet at times, bands manage to return rejuvenated, reenergised and stronger than ever before! Fortunately, exactly this hits the coffin nail on its head when it comes down to premier Dutch death metal masters ASPHYX!
With their highly anticipated and aptly titled new album “Death…The Brutal Way” the quartet now releases a prime example for the perseverance and indestructible impact of real death metal!
Formed back in 1987 under the morbid influence of such infernal genre forefathers as Venom, Hellhammer/Celtic Frost, Slaughter and Death, ASPHYX started building their legendary reputation via several demos that spread like a plague within the tape trading and uprising underground metal community. Only one year older than their long-time label partner, Century Media, ASPHYX conquered the worldwide metal scene with such immortal death metal classics as “The Rack” (1991) and “Last One On Earth” (1992). The band toured worldwide with fellow death metal forerunners-acts like Entombed, Benediction and Bolt Thrower to quickly establish themselves at the spearhead of the international extreme music scene. However, the mid-90’s proved to be a hard time for death metal and also ASPHYX suffered from the genre’s implosion back then. Line-up problems ensued: vocalist Martin van Drunen left the band after “Last One On Earth” and even founding member Bob Bagchus (drums) took a time-out. While their following releases (1994’s “Asphyx”, 1996’s “God Cries”) kept the band’s high standard of musical output, in 1996 the band disbanded only to rise again in 1997 under the name SOULBURN. Their sole SOULBURN album “Feeding On Angels” (1997) featured Wannes Gubbels (Pentacle) on bass/vocals, Bob Bagchus on drums and original ASPHYX guitarist Eric Daniels. As the album sounded as close to the true ASPHYX-sound as possible it felt only natural that on “On The Wings Of Inferno” (2000) the classic moniker of ASPHYX had returned. With this massive slab of doomy, raw death metal a true and high-quality new ASPHYX record had been created, but only after some few club- and festival-shows by 2000 the band dissolved again due to the departure of Eric Daniels.
After these turbulent times, the reformation of ASPHYX was a less complicated process and started with an unbelievably successful reunion show as headlining act at 2007’s Party.San festival in Germany! Several thousand fans heartily welcomed the current line-up consisting of returning Martin van Drunen (vocals), Wannes Gubbels (bass/vocals), Paul Baayens (guitar, also in Thanatos) and Bob Bagchus (drums) and went nuts during an intense best-of set. Further successful live shows followed e.g. at the Arnhem Metal Meeting (NL), Hole In The Sky Festival (NOR), Rock Hard Festival (D) and for 2009 the band is also confirmed to play the Maryland Deathfest (US), Deathfeast (D), With Full Force Festival (D) as well as many other high-profile international shows.
After releasing a 7” on the small German underground label Iron Pegasus in 2008, which sold out quickly, now it is time to finally unleash the new full-length album “Death…The Brutal Way”. It was recorded at Sonic Assault Studio with their longtime engineer Frank Klein Douwel. Afterwards it was mixed and mastered by the none less legendary Dan Swanö (Bloodbath, Edge Of Sanity, etc.), who previously successfully worked on mixing the debut album by Hail Of Bullets, the band featuring ASPHYX vocalist Martin van Drunen and guitarist Paul Baayens.
From the crushing opening track “Scorbutics”, the driving title-track, the doom monster “Asphyx II (They Died As They Marched)”, the devastating “Eisenbahnmörser” over to the monumental death metal anthem “Cape Horn”, ASPHYX have transferred their classic trademarks into the year 2009 and every dedicated fan will instantly embrace the album as the only true successor to 1992’s “Last One On Earth”. A special limited edition version of the album will include a Bonus-DVD including the earlier mentioned, fantastic live show from Party-San festival 2007. If you have witnessed ASPHYX live in the current line-up you will have realized that the band is not simply making profit from past laurels, but has ultimately rediscovered its unquenchable thirst for delivering their own brand of doomy, violent death metal! The ripping riffs, the titanic roar of van Drunen, the pounding drumming and macabre atmosphere are 666% ASPHYX from start to finish and once you have listened to the entire new opus you will agree that the unique ASPHYX sound has been truly missed during the past years. Welcome back!

Every now and then I come across a band who friends me on my Myspace or Facebook who I have never heard of, and I usually accept their friendship and listen to what they have to offer, and maybe 8 times out of 10 I listen to maybe 30 seconds and I have to stop because "in my opinion" they just dont sound that good. Well such a band asked for my friendship and once again I accepted then I listened, Nailed Coil gets it. They are one of the few bands that i listened to a song and let it play all the way through and had the will to click on the next song. (From their Facebook page)
"Nailed Coil was formed 2002 in Tuusula, Finland. The band has played several gigs during the past years in their home country. In 2008 they played Metal camp ´08 festival in Slovenia with famous bands like In Flames, Apocalyptica, Six Feet Under etc."
Fronted by Aki Salmenoja, Nailed Coil has a cross mix sound between Hatebreed and Suffocation, and the chops from Henry Grönberg - Guitar, Aaro Koponen - Bass, Joonas Kosonen - Guitar/Vocal prove that these guys have done their homework. The drums ala Eero Wuokko are that of Alex Pelletier(Despised Icon) and don't slow or drag this band down as you see in alot of underground unsigned bands. On their Facebook page, they say they're looking for a label, and if they keep pounding out tunes like "Break Me Down" they need not worry because they should get picked up. Let me end by saying once again, There are a lot of bands out there and most don't get it, but Nailed Coil nails it.
For more on this band check out them out at http://www.myspace.com/nailedcoil or http://www.facebook.com/#!/pages/Nailed-Coil/10244422116?sk=info

Legendary extreme-metal drummer Gene Hoglan (TESTAMENT, DARK ANGEL, STRAPPING YOUNG LAD, FEAR FACTORY, DETHKLOK) will not be sitting behind the kit for FEAR FACTORY when the Los Angeles cyber metal band hits the road at the end of April in support of its upcoming CD, "The Industrialist". Hoglan says, "I'm sure whomever they get [to play the drums on the run] is gonna kick some ass, absolutely! I'd like to wish them the best on the tour, and I'm sure everyone's gonna make out just fine."
FEAR FACTORY's most recent touring lineup featured original FF members Dino Cazares (guitar) and Burton C. Bell (vocals) alongside bassist Byron Stroud (who was credited on the last three FEAR FACTORY albums in addition to touring and recording with STRAPPING YOUNG LAD and ZIMMERS HOLE) and Hoglan.
FEAR FACTORY recently enlisted Matt DeVries as the band's new bass player. DeVries, previously of CHIMAIRA (where he played guitar) and most recently SIX FEET UNDER, joined FEAR FACTORY as the replacement for Stroud (now with 3 INCHES OF BLOOD).
Hoglan pulled double duty on the TESTAMENT/ANTHRAX/DEATH ANGEL tour last month, filling in for ANTHRAX drummer Charlie Benante while also doing a full set with TESTAMENT. The ANTHRAX drummer had to take a short leave from the tour to be with his mother who was terminally ill. On February 4, Benante informed fans via his official web site that his mother passed away.
Candlelight Records has set a June 5 North American release date for "The Industrialist". Produced by the band with Rhys Fulber (FRONT LINE ASSEMBLY), the CD was mixed by Greg Reely (PARADISE LOST, SKINNY PUPPY, MACHINE HEAD). It features additional tracking by Logan Mader (GOJIRA, DIVINE HERESY, FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH) and artwork by Anthony Clarkson (DEVIN TOWNSEND).
